How to Talk Effectively across the Generations to Bring about Results. This series draws upon what we call “genuine communication” and covers a spectrum of issues of concern to both youth and their elders – from poverty to climate and anything in between. Each of these dialogues is designed and led by youth, with their elders serving as their consultants and coaches. This is our differentiator.
Each dialogue explores our own ways of thinking, our feelings and attitudes – in brief, our inner lives. But each dialogue is not just about talk; they are about taking the first steps toward positive action. All of our dialogues, thus, have the potential to play the role of social incubator.
The catalysts for our dialogues are prompts -- what we call “queries” – questions that are intended to shake us out of our complacency and disrupt our own habits of thinking. These queries serve as the first steps in bringing the inner lives of the generations together, and thus building a foundation for far greater insights and far more effective action.
