FINDING YOUR PURPOSE WORKSHOP
Finding Your Purpose Workshop©
Michael Pearn, a British organizational psychologist and expert on resilience, and Clint Wilkins, Encore Fellow, have created a a self-administered tool for finding direction and purpose in your life,—a matrix really—for diagnosing a person’s wellbeing across nine interrelated life functions and attitudes on three levels:
We lead you through each of these nine life functions virtually, rating themselves on a scale of 1-3—with one being “as good as can be expected,” two being “meh,” and three being “it needs attention.” You will then be in a position to make connections between and among these lenses, thus leading to new self-insights and a focus on making a plan for what to do next.
You diagnose your current strengths and needs and make a plan to recalibrate your sense of meaning and take initiative to act upon it. First you rate yourself on each of these nine elements. What emerges is greater clarity on your needs and aspirations. Second, with greater clarity on your needs, this activity turns into a planning tool, helping you focus on what you want to do next.
It's perfectly fine to do this activity alone, but ideally, it works better in groups.
